Devoted followers of the actress are calling for that a man who leaped a fence and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed features videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more message on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of Singapore fans had waited to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and production design.
