Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and continuing attack against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone near the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is unclear and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their air space.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," it added.
It said debris fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
