Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have got plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
